J.C.S. Waystone is my pen name. It’s a reference to my mentors, who have had a profound impact on my life.

In my career, I tend to discover people at their worst. Which means when I see people collaborate, succeed or witness their heroics, past and present, I’m always filled with admiration. I’ve always believed you can learn quite a lot from anyone you meet, as long as you’re willing to listen. Building genuine connections has helped me along my way, and I consider myself lucky indeed.

Without surprise, I studied history at university with a splash of psychology. Someone told me this meant I effectively studied ‘people’.
